Upgraded OS
Operator-built in Bristol

We built the system our own property operation needed.

Upgraded OS began inside The Upgrade Authority: a working short-let and long-let operation that was tired of moving the same truth between disconnected tools.

Why it exists

The booking was never the whole job.

The available software could store a reservation or tenancy, but the operation still escaped into a pricing tool, inbox, task board, direct-booking site, finance spreadsheet and a growing pile of local knowledge.

We built Upgraded OS to make the property record useful: the place where pricing, conversations, work, documents and owner money can meet without losing accountability.

Built from the 2am guest, the changeover Friday and the owner asking about one line on a statement.

The operating problems behind the product

Product principles

Software should carry the work without hiding the decision.

01 / ONE RECORD

Join the truth to the job

A task, conversation or statement should retain the property, person and underlying event that created it.

02 / HONEST AUTOMATION

Name the actual verb

Say whether the system notified, drafted or completed the work. Keep the approval line visible.

03 / OPERATOR CONTROL

Nothing by surprise

Start clean. Connect, import, publish and share through deliberate actions instead of hidden defaults.

Upgraded OS runs inside a working property business, where each weak handoff gives the product team a real problem to solve.
